Who we are.
EDDA is a team of builders, designers, and project leaders working across Greater Victoria. The firm was built on hospitality work, restaurants, cafes, bars, and boutique hotels, and grew from there into the full range of commercial and residential construction. The discipline learned in those early fit-outs, tight schedules and demanding finishes with no room for error, now runs through every project the firm takes on, at every scale.We work for property owners, developers, operators, and the property managers, strata councils, and brokers who commission work on their behalf. We design and build under one contract, so there is one team accountable from the first conversation to the final inspection.

EDDA is based in Greater Victoria, British Columbia, and works throughout Victoria and Vancouver Island, including Saanich, Oak Bay, Esquimalt, Sidney, Langford, Colwood, and Sooke.
EDDA has completed fifty-plus projects, with a portfolio anchored in hospitality and extending across commercial and residential construction.
EDDA leads design and construction with its own team and coordinates a trusted base of Greater Victoria trades. Senior EDDA leadership is on site for every project.
EDDA works for property owners, developers, operators, and businesses, as well as the property managers, strata councils, and commercial realtors who commission construction on behalf of owners and tenants.
"We have had the pleasure of working with John and his team on several occasions. The first one was when our company was very young and we needed help and oversight to build our first restaurant. At that time, we needed help in every aspect of the project. Visioning, providing advice, stick handling all our questions and getting our ideas into a professionally presented plan. Not only that but we needed a team that could the restaurant. And they did. And now, 12 years later we have a successful restaurant business that has been successful in a very large part due to John and his team. In our next project we worked on together we needed to renovate an old pub that needed a restoration. We had more experience as an ownership group and knew a little bit, which is to say John had to deal with our ego’s and desires and our attempts to explain how we thought we knew best. Again, John listened and delivered an exciting plan and then carried onto to oversee the renovation of an iconic gulf island pub. Since that time, we have worked with him on different sized projects and some in remote areas. In all projects John and his team listened to us, considered options, offered solutions, modified as he went and then delivered the construction of the project when required. We would have no issues in recommending John and his team for any project big or small."
